| The City of Osaka can subsidize a portion of building rental costs necessary for the establishment or expansion of the headquarters of companies in high-technology fields within the city limits. |

| Any business in the field of information and telecommunications, biotechnology, nanotechnology, robotics or any other field recognized by the Mayor of Osaka as a high-technology field. Further this business must establish or have established their headquarters within the city limits. |

| ♦Criteria |
| |
Applicable buildings must be registered as headquarters of the business, and serve as the location for general management and key operations such as General Affairs, Accounting and Management. |
| |
Applicable buildings must possess over 2,000 m2 of floor space and be staffed by over 200 full-time employees, not including any areas or employees that are not under the sole employ of the business headquarters. |
| |
For those businesses expanding their headquarters, the floor area must increase by over 2,000m2 and full-time staff increase of 200 employees or more, not including any areas or employees that are not under the sole employ of the business headquarters. |
| |
Applicable headquarters must operate in the same location for 7 years or more. |
| |
Construction or expansion plans must be submitted by March 31, 2012 (Application after establishment or expansion will not be accepted). |
| |
For those businesses entering into a building rental contract and providing integral office space to subsidiary companies, the total floor area and employee count shall include the subsidiary company’s area and employees. |

Note 1: “Products” or “Equipment” above refers to not only completed items, but to semi-finished goods, components, ingredients or materials as well.
