| The City of Osaka can subsidize a portion of construction costs for office buildings of companies in key industries (as designated by The City of Osaka) that will be constructed and opened within city limits. Further, the office building in question should help develop and promote a key industry and contribute to the urban revitalization and economic development of Osaka.

| Any business which will build, open and own an office building within Osaka City. The company in question must operate in a key industry (as designated by The City of Osaka) that is eligible for subsidy. |
 |
| ♦Criteria |
| Applicable businesses must be capable of continuously and effectively operating in their chosen field, as evidenced by the use of a significant amount of turnover in key industrial fields applicable for the subsidy and operation for one year or more. |
| The planned office building must possess 1,000 m2 or more of total floor space for the sole use of the business. |
| Further, the planned office building must be staffed by 5 or more full-time employees, and increase the number of employed persons in Osaka. |
| The business must be financially sound and remain in operation for 5 or more years post-construction. |
| Interested businesses must submit their construction plans (buildings currently under construction will not be accepted) to the City of Osaka by March 31, 2012, begin construction by March 31, 2013, and begin operations in the new building by December 31, 2014. |

| Invested fixed capital for construction and equipment costs (only for areas for the business’ sole use) up to a maximum of 200,000 yen / m2 in construction cost per floor area. |

| ∗ Invested Fixed Capital, as defined by Local Taxation Law Article 341, is the total expenditure of a company to obtain buildings or other depreciable assets of 500,000 yen or more. In particular, the term invested fixed capital applies to construction and equipment costs for office or laboratory space, and machinery, equipment (air-conditioning, etc.) , exterior structures, etc. deemed necessary for their operation. |

Up to 5% of applicable costs (maximum of 300 million yen)
Subsidy will be disbursed after the applicable building begins normal operations. |
