Ongoing Urban Redevelopment in Osaka

As the first stage of revitalization in Osaka under the Special Measures Law concerning Priority Urban Development Areas, the city of Osaka has designated priority districts that are in urgent need of redevelopment through urban renewal projects (Priority Urban Development Areas). Redevelopment projects in the Priority Urban Development Areas may be applicable to special urban planning policies, such as increased maximum floor area ratio under the Special Priority District Redevelopment Program, as well as to financial support and tax incentives under the Private Sector Urban Redevelopment Project Approval Program.
