2. At present, there are approximately 2.7 TV sets on average per a family. About 3/4 of the 9 million TV sets are also sold last year domestically were imports, 50% of VTRs are also imported. The aforementioned are mainly produced overseas by Japanese manufactures.

Remarks: As one corporation products more than one category, the sum of each column does not match the total.
5. As mentioned above, shifting factories to overseas is common practice. Overseas production of TVs exceeded domestic production in 1988, as did VTRs in 1994, quantity-wise.

6. Thus, de-industrization and price splashing by imported goods are continued due to the influx of imported goods.

7. As we mentioned above (see No.2), most of the import goods are mainly produced overseas by Japanese companies. However, parts such as semiconductors (mainly from U.S.A.) have been imported.

8. It is surmised that Japanese small and medium sized enterprises will expand their business overseas from now on.

9. Overseas production of necessary parts by small and medium enterprises will be further accelerated.

10.
Ti ts not yet certain what will take the place of video in electronics field. At present, we are expecting the Multimedia related products market grow to a total of approximately \200,000,000,000,000/ by 2010 and Hi-vision broadcasting.

11. The Pachinko industry which is a \ 17,000,000,000,000. market and the toy games are now actually the mass of electronics.

12. There were 333,000 visitors at Òthe Electronics ShowÓ held in the autumn of 1995 in Osaka. We see big public interest in the electronics industry.
